Our Story
Tucked into Shepherd Market on Jan Smuts Avenue in Craighall Park, The Block has become a favourite gathering spot for people searching out real dining in Sandton and across greater Johannesburg. We're proud to offer something a little different from the usual Sandton City restaurants scene — a relaxed, welcoming space where good food and good company come first. If you're after a grill house in Sandton with heart, or simply one of the more memorable restaurants in Sandton, South Africa, come find us at The Block. AMAZING !!!! I will definitely be back here soon. The owner and staff are so friendly and welcoming with smiles on their faces. The pizzas are incredible with creative and unique varieties. Wine tastings, background music, woodfire pizza oven and such a cosy place. Highly highly highly recommend 👌.

Music was subtle, but a great choice...We ordered pizza, the fact that the bases are sourdough just make them more enjoyable...instead of being a means to serve toppings, the base is very much an edible part of the best pizzas we've had in forever...5 people cant be wrong! The choice of wines,cocktails and drinks is enough to suite everyone's preferences. The wine list is amazing! A definite MUST visit. 👍🏻
